Diego Del Nilo
Biography
Diego Del Nilo was born on September 20, 1974 in Casarano, Italy,
and spent his childhood in the province of Lecce,
where he was deeply influenced
from the Salento and artistic culture of the Baroque.
At the age of fifteen, Diego moved to Munich,
in Germany, where he began his artistic career as
apprentice painter.
After gaining a lot of experience, he obtained the title of master craftsman.
Initially, Diego worked with the airbrush on motorcycles, helmets and prestigious cars,
to then evolve his style by dedicating himself to painting on canvas,
starting from the acrylic technique and then moving on to oil.
His style is inspired by the old masters and the 17th-century Baroque, with references to chiaroscuro and surrealism, and his works explore universal themes such as good and evil.
Each creation is a tribute to the past and, at the same time, a reflection of contemporary themes.
His works are exhibited in numerous exhibitions and galleries both nationally and internationally.
