Painful unit

The artist reveals messages that reflect his own spiritual tensions, capable of condensing emotions into a communication of great pathos and harmonious visual poetry.

A creative balance approaches symbolic elaborations with intuition and broad scope, evoking every significant suggestion of its soul in revealing evocative feelings and sensations.

International Visual Arts Award Barcelona October 2024:

A strong desire

The composition features a female figure reclining in a pose of languid contemplation, surrounded by a pictorial environment rich in symbols and tones that evoke nature and rebirth.

The dominant blue of the scene is intense and deep, enveloping the entire composition in an atmosphere of calm, recalling the vastness of the sky or the depths of the sea.

This chromatic choice suggests introspection and mystery, and serves as an ideal backdrop to explore the theme of desire, represented as a vital impulse that connects the individual with the natural and cosmic world.

The female figure, at the centre of the work, is rendered with realism, and stands out for her serene, almost meditative attitude, in contrast with the movement suggested by the surrounding elements.

The woman's body is partially covered with oak leaves, placed symbolically.

The work communicates a feeling of profound humility, but at the same time of universality, as if the desire represented were a force common to all humanity.

Poetic gestures

Let's immerse ourselves in a symbolic work, the still image of a gesture that takes on different conjugations, expertly summarised by the gestures of the artist Diego Del Nilo, who shows us a poetics in which the surreal background merges with the figurative rendering of the hands.

Deal An interesting work, an emotional study, the poetics of a handshake, a deal, a gesture that can tell the exchange of peace, thus taking on a value that combines the sacred and the profane, summarizing in the glimpse of a window on the soul, a fleeting moment that remains eternally imprinted in the composition of the artist Del Nilo.

Entering into the heart of the technicalities of the work, it is worth noting how the artist has given a sort of sculptural plasticity, giving three-dimensionality to the two hands, studied with extreme meticulousness, balancing the

light and shade in order to make the composition come alive.

The background recalls the meticulous study of the hands, it almost seems as if the artist has taken the wooden grooves and placed the ornamental patterns that characterise his work, making it recognisable.

The light of temptation

Del Nilo's painting is surreal, and he delights in creating visionary atmospheres, plays of reflections and refractions.

An arsenal of aesthetic solutions that, in essence, generates in the observer a sense of wonder, disorientation in the continuous search for an interpretative key.

Here, an austere atmosphere, punctuated by the presence of the arches, acts as a counterpoint to the voluptuousness of the temptations that seduce the mind and body.

Inheritance

Diego Del Nilo's Legacy is a work of extraordinary complexity and depth, characterized by impeccable technical craftsmanship and a symbolic value that fascinates and intrigues the viewer.

This painting stands out for its ability to transport the observer into a surreal and metaphysical world, populated by figures and symbols that evoke a vortex of temporal references and enigmatic suggestions.

At the center of the composition, a childlike figure sitting on a metaphysical ladder immediately captures the viewer's attention, conveying a sense of vulnerability and innocence that contrasts with the work's mysterious and meaningful atmosphere.

The temporal references are further accentuated by the presence of a clock, which testifies to the relentless passage of time, and by the furtive glances that seem to emerge from hidden corners of the composition, suggesting other realities and dimensions beyond the visible one.

Contemporary - Mind catalog and art exhibition Grottaferrata Rome January 2024:

Respect with the right distance

The emotional poetics that come to life in Diego Del Nilo's Contemporary Classicism are interesting; the artist investigates the surreal poetics of emotions, wanting to convey an intense message.

In the work "Respect with the right distance", the artist gave voice to an important theme regarding respect towards women.

We observe a male figure whose body muscles are exalted and in the distance a woman enclosed in a bubble.

Through the union between the sculptural plasticity of the bodies and the surreal symbolism, Del Nilo invites us to reflect on contemporary history, looking into our souls in order to bring out the most sensitive part of the self.
