Between Light and ShadowIt is a series of oil paintings on canvas, inspired by the Baroque of the seventeenth century,
to dramatic chiaroscuro and surrealism.
Each work explores the dualism between good and evil, with bodies possessed by darkness.
that undergo subtle and suggestive bodily transformations.
This artistic journey not only captures the emotional tension and depth of transformations,
but also aims to open the eyes of the spectators,
inviting them to recognize and distinguish the difference between good and evil.

The choice between light and darkness
Oil on canvas
approx. 100 x 150 cm
In the shadows of the corridor, the blindfolded man remains motionless, his breath held, his hand clutching the skull like an unbearable weight.
Beside him, a female figure watches, the future suspended.
Every step is an uncertainty, every breath a possibility.
In the darkness, his hand searches for the way, and only courage will decide whether he will live or succumb.

The water of sin
Oil on canvas
approx. 60 x 80 cm
She rises, half woman, half temptation, resting on him like an inexorable call.
Blindfolded, he feels every drop running down his head, as if it were the weight of the temptation that is consuming him.
Every look, every breath, is a step towards his collapse, as she holds him tight in an abyss with no way out.

Under the grip of the dark
Oil on canvas
approx. 130 x 100 cm
She struggles to free herself, but her body is imprisoned, while her soul, still free, resists in silence.
Every beat is a call to herself, a desperate attempt to escape.
The darkness grips his body, but can never truly dominate his spirit.

The Tree of Life
Oil on canvas
approx. 100 x 120 cm
The woman, wrapped in a white dress as tight as a prison, offers an apple to the man.
He, with his hands clasped behind his shoulders and his gaze averted, rejects that gift.
In the background, barely perceptible, the apple tree stands like a shadowed destiny, while a snake winds its way through the branches.
Here, the baroque chiaroscuro illuminates the tragedy of rejection, inviting us to confront the weight of choice and detachment.

Bacchus and the Shadow of Destiny
Oil on canvas
approx. 100 x 100 cm
The man stands out in the darkness, his naked body, crowned with ivy, holding out a glass full of wine to the observer.
The wine, ruby red and intense, together with the pomegranate, fill the table.
In this baroque chiaroscuro, every glance is an invitation, every sip is a step towards the abyss.
Here, pleasure and ruin dance together.

Keeper of the Dark Border
Oil on canvas
approx. 80 x 100 cm
She sits silent, motionless, on the edge of a forgotten world.
The fixed gaze holds the breath of time, as if every moment were held between light and shadow.
She is the boundary, where past and future meet, and every breath is a choice not made, suspended in anticipation of an uncertain tomorrow.

Condemned Desire
Oil on canvas
approx. 90 x 90 cm
Suspended in an ancient crypt, her body lies on time-worn stones.
Roses, burning like forbidden desire, envelop her skin.
She is in ecstasy, suspended between passion and emptiness.
The bite of time holds her back, but in the shadows, her redemption still burns like a secret fire.

In the flame of guilt
Oil on canvas
approx. 80 x 80 cm
He closes his eyes, gripped by an oppressive heat rising from the darkness.
Every breath is a wound, every thought is a remorse that consumes him.
In the burning light, he defends himself, but he is already marked by guilt that holds him in an abyss with no escape.

The bite of the evil one
Oil on canvas
approx. 60 x 80 cm
She stands still on the step, her head bowed, as if the weight of the bite has already changed her breathing.
The hand resting on the snake holds her back, but her body is tired.
Every moment is a boundary, and she remains suspended, between pain and resistance.

The weight of regret
Oil on canvas
approx. 60 x 80 cm
She hugs herself, her gaze lost, as if the shadow of some dark deed weighs upon her.
A hand touches her cheek, but inside her an emptiness grows, as if evil had stolen her hope.

Night Reflection
Oil on canvas
approx. 100 x 100 cm
In the midnight darkness, he stands still, his hands to his chin, his gaze turned backward.
Think of a lost moment, a painful decision.
Maybe he's rethinking a choice or looking for meaning in the silence.
Every breath is filled with regret, every thought holds him in a night that seems endless.
As if, in the shadows, he was searching for himself.
